Trench drains are linear drainage assemblies designed to interrupt surface water and direct the water into a drainage system. Linear in design they are used to collect water that is flowing as a sheet of water over a surface. Common areas are above a stair, along a curb, at the entry to garages or other structures that could be subjected to flooding by storm water.
