What is a Panning ?
Definition of Panning in Construction A term used to describe an extruded aluminum or vinyl covering over a window or door jamb, head, or other component. Panning is a universal construction term and can be used to describe any type of covering. The term is also used as an architectural term for interior special finishes that may be constructed of aluminum, vinyl, wood or other special material. The use of panning allows specialty colors or textures t be visually presented without the need to construct the entire construction element of this special texture and or color. Panning is normally glued onto the substrate or can be screwed, nailed or snapped into place, if the profile of the system allows.
