Flood Doors

What is Flood Doors ?

Definition of Flood Doors in Construction
A flood door is a specially designed door that is watertight and when closed will stop flood waters from the interior of the structure. Flood doors are designed in several different ways and can be sliding gates that will be slid down over an existing opening or they can be hinged doors that are kept open until needed. In addition to doors that must be closed once flooding is expected, there are flood doors that are used as the common door for the opening. These doors are constructed with gaskets and elements that when closed will prevent the entry of water into the structure. Additional information can be found on www.floodpanel.com
