What is Fitting Rooms
Definition of Fitting Rooms in Construction
In the retail construction market, the fitting room is the area that is designated for the customer to try on the retail product. Normally the fittings rooms are located on the perimeter of the sales floor and are furnished with a sitting bench, clothes hooks and a mirror. Many fitting rooms are open on the top to allow the normal ventilation from the sales floor to keep the interior of the fitting rooms comfortable, and not requiring their own heating and cooling systems. Most fitting room doors are installed with self-closing spring hinges, to ensure that the doors remain closed, once the retail customer leaves the fitting room. Depending on store policy, the hardware on the fitting room doors may include a lockset to properly manage the usage of the fitting rooms and minimize theft.
