An egress door is a door that is properly sized to adhere to the building code, as an egress exit or entry. The building code will require certain size doors, to be available to the occupants of a structure, in accordance with the number of occupants and the size of the structure. These egress doors are designed and specified by the architect, to comply with the building code, as well as fire code of the project as indicated by the local, state and federal codes.
