Edge of Gravel (EG)

What is Edge of Gravel (EG)

Definition of Edge of Gravel (EG) in Construction

Designation used on site plans to clearly indicate the areas that are the interface of one material and any gravel surfaces. On many commercial projects, there are substantial areas of gravel that are required to allow the dissipation of any rain water or other storm water into the sub-grade. The establishment of the edge or gravel is important to properly install the specified and engineered gravel surfaces to comply with the storm water drainage.
