What is Earth Saucer
Definition of Earth Saucer in Construction
This description is used to identify the area around a plant, shrub or tree that is saucer shaped and required to accept rain and watering for the landscape materials. The earth saucer normally has a raised perimeter, that will retain the water from draining out of the saucer area, and is normally filled with a specified mulch material of chipped wood, bark or other natural materials. The earth saucer allows the permeation of the rain water, down into the soil and into the plant, shrub or tree roots. Normally the grass edge will encircle the entire earth saucer around the perimeter of the landscape material.
