DIP is the designation of a type of piping that is commonly used on all construction sites. Ductile iron pipe is basically a black iron pipe that can be used for sanitary, for water, for gas line transmission or other types of liquid transmission within water, chemical, medical facility. The ductile iron pipe is normally connected by welding the joints or with screw threads that are cut on site to allow customization of the piping system. Ductile iron pipe is a very common product on all job sites and is usually provided in standard 20 foot lengths.
