Conductors

What is Conductors?

Definition of Conductors in Construction
This term is used to describe the electrical wires that are used on construction projects both residentially and commercially. This nomenclature is normally used on larger wires that supply electrical power to a structure or a project; however electricians will use this word to describe most wiring. The conductors on a project are either copper or aluminum and are insulated with synthetic material as well as an insulating sheathing. In some cases the conductor can be insulated with a material and will have a grounding braid wrapped around this insulation, with a secondary covering over the wire brad. There are several sizes for conductors and the determination regarding size requirements is normally selected by the Electrical engineer on the project.
