Baler

What is Baler?

Definition of Baler in Construction

The baler on a project, usually references a piece of equipment that is installed on a permanent basis, and is used to compact and bale cardboard. The location of the baler is in the back of house. The amount of cardboard that is generated by a retail environment, whether it is a grocery store or another type of retailer is tremendous. The ability to compact this cardboard, and actually bail this cardboard, is very important, due to the fact that this material can be sold to vendors that purchase cardboard for reclaiming and recycling. In some instances, due to the extreme danger of operating this type of equipment, the more sophisticated balers can only be activated by the fingerprints of the assigned operator.
