An assortment of devices or products, that are linked together to have a specific purpose. An assembly in construction can be a window assembly, a door assembly or basically any combination of materials, equipment, electronic devices that, when assembled together, will have a specific purpose and function. The term assembly is universally used throughout the contract drawings and specifications. The term can also be used to show a wall, ceiling, floor assembly that may consist of various products. The assembly can identify a fire rated, sound rated type of assembly that has been tested to produce a specific result.
